In Theory

One Skirt, Ten Ways

I took a two layered skirt and found 10 different ways to wear it.
The title is 'In Theory' because
one must have the right type of skirt
to make these looks possible.
Enjoy.

Empire Waist
High Waist

Office
Halter
Flowy Top
Tucked In
Girls' Night Out
Belted Tunic

Add Length To Short Dresses
Casual

Of course you can change this and that here and there.
You could even use a shorter or a longer skirt.
But these are just some ideas.
What do you think? Would you use any of these ideas?

P.S. Please excuse some of my strange faces, I'm new at this.

  1. Very fun! My favorite look is 6, however, I am mostly interested in 3 and 4! How do you have arm holes in the skirt??!

    1. Thanks for commenting Sherry! Actually, with #3 & #4 I simply pulled the layer behind my neck to come together, and then pinned it. Super easy, and the fabric just rolled and covered it on it's own. It looks like a halter top in the back.

  2. I have a double layer tube dress I might be able to do this with...think I will try some of them! I really like 6. And I can't stop giggling at #1....okay mom! ;)

  3. Staci, you are so creative (and so skinny and pretty, too!). All of these outfits are amazing, but I think my favorite looks are 2, 9 & 10. That is such a great idea to wear a skirt under a shorter dress. :)

    1. Thank you Sierra! That means a lot to me and it's really encouraging. What I liked about wearing the skirt under the dress was that I used the shear layer for that one, making it more like a pretty frill added instead of another full out layer. Ya know?
