Vintage Button Necklace DIY

My little creative person has been screaming for some attention lately.

So I decided to scope out my Crafts Board on Pintrest and look for anything
that would satisfy my creative itch.

I found This Pin and decided to try it out.
If you want to try it out yourself, you may find the tutorial through the link.

However, I didn't follow that tutorial, I simply went from the picture.
So here's what I did:
  1. I laid out the buttons I wanted in the arrangement I wanted. (as seen in the picture above)
  2. I then transferred the design onto the background fabric, which for me was denim.
  3. I fired up the hot glue gun and put each button into place. (My design changed slightly as I put them together permanently.)
  4. I then cut out the buttons from the extra fabric.
  5. Using needle and thread, I sewed the chain onto the background fabric of the necklace.
My necklace turned out like this, and it's kinda fun. I think I like it.

But I didn't stop there.
I made this necklace from old earrings and extra chain.

Then I decided that three is a charm and I made another one.

Even though the second two were afterthoughts, I like the second necklace I made the most. I see myself wearing this one a lot.

All in all, it was a good night and my little creative person is satisfied, for now.

One Blouse: Two Ways

Thrifted Treasure

I found a vintage blouse at Salvation Army that I just adored.

It's a really lightweight material with some fancy details, so it can be work or casual.
Oh how I enjoy getting so much use out of $2.
That's my kind of shopping.

The end.

Michigan House

Michigan House Cafe & Brewpub
The Keweenaw is just crawling with history. This place is no exception.
You have no idea how cool this place is. The only reason is because I was too busy eating the delicious food to take more pictures. And it was full so I felt silly taking a bunch of pictures. Next time I go and if there aren't too many people there, I will take more pictures for you so you can see just how cool this place is.
I don't know much about beer, mostly because I haven't got the taste for it. But the Mister likes their brews.
Michigan House Cafe & Brewpub Calumet, MI.
Look it up. It's cool. And it's really close to my house. Thumbs Up.

The end.

Tea Party

Mother and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this unique tea room.
There was so much history and antique charm to this place. I know that I will visit it again.
The dessert was amazing! And the tea selection is amazing. I had no idea there were so many tea options. Black, green, white. And then some!
This is a place you come to really spend some time.

The end.
